I hate doing laundry at the laundromat. No matter how unscented your detergent is, you can still smell the Tide from the prior wash. Plus, it costs a small fortune to dry a pair of thick socks. I guess I'm just sensitive to smells and cheap.
I was born and grew up in the Champlain Valley of Vermont, in a small city between Burlington and Middlebury, called Vergennes. I went to an alternative high school program, The Walden Project, after learning that traditional schooling didn't interest me. I have yet to attend college. Instead of applying, I got a job with Red House Inc., a local building company. I've worked there for 4 years. I took a leave of absence to go on a trip across the country. Now having returned, I left again -- this time solo to explore the many offerings of South America.
I started this blog to document and publish my travels across the United States. I explored different regions by visiting and working on farms along the way. Now I´m in South America, using the WWOOF organsation as well as hostel hopping.
